Since the introduction of Memcached a number of products have come to Market supporting the Memcahed protocol. In 2009 we released Memcapable to certify products that make use of the Memcached protocol are compatible with the reference implementation.

Memcapable is open source, and distributed with libmemcached. Users are encouraged to certify products before putting them into use.
